Does my T.A. like me?

I ran into my teacher's assistant at a bar over a month ago and he came over to talk to me. My friends thought he was flirting with me and kept giving me the look the entire time he was talking to me. I didn't think anything of it at the time because I didn't think of him that way, but now I think I like him and want to know if I should go for it once the semester is over.

Age isn't a factor since he is 29 and I am 27, I just want to know if I have a chance before I put myself out there. My lab partners know how I feel and definitely think he likes me based on how often he hangs out at our table, the way he interacts with me, and that he looks over at me a lot during his lectures.

He hasn't done or said anything specifically to make me think he likes me, just the ilttle things and a feeling, and I can't help but hope that he hasn't done anything about it because he thinks its inappropriate since he is my TA.

This past weekend I emailed his university email a Q about an assignment and made a comment about him going to the bar we ran into each other at a lot. He responded using his personal email saying he doesn't go there often and said he hoped he didn't seem too impaired when we talked at the bar. I don't really know what to think, but if there's a chance I don't want to miss out.

Does it sound like he could like me? Should I ask him to hang out once the semester is over?

I can't really tell from the information you gave as to if he likes you or not. He could just be a friendly guy and interacting with you. I think the best way for you to find out is to give him simple gestures that are flirty but not going too far and are appropriate for your relationship between him. Smile at him and let it linger for longer than usual or even giving him "the eye." The only way to find out other than waiting for him to approach you (which he may never do because of the circumstance) is to put yourself out there a little more than usual and see how he responds to that.

Thanks for the advice, that's kind of what I was thinking of doing. There are only 5 weeks left in the semester so I'm going to be more flirty and his reactions will help me determine what to do once the semester is over. Its difficult to tell sometimes I just have a feeling about him and have since we ran into each other outside of school, but I also know that because I want him to feel the same thing I'm probably not able to be objective.

test it out, get your friend to email his uni email address and if he replies on his personal account as he did with you then its prob in your head, where as if he replies on his uni email then your obv something special.
