Why do my parents want me to marry a “pure” guy?

I don’t even care about a man’s virginity. In fact, I prefer experienced men. They say “pure” guys are better partners 😒

I remember discussing a topic like this at work with other guys who also have daughters and no they don't like arranged marriages. But they do like, is for their daughter to choose a guy with good morals over just a guy that is just physically attractive to them. Because physical attraction demishes with age and won't guarantee a happy relationship, I believe when most parents see a potential partner for their daughter to be with they also want to besure it will likely actually be someone that will treat their daughter right.
If I was a father and my daughter brought home someone she really likes mostly because of physical attraction I just wouldn't expect to last long unless I can really see how the guy she's with is really putting forth effort to show that he is treating her right and is respectful to her and her family. Then I'd say that is a good pure man that I'd be happy seeing my daughter with.

If you are looking for a partner to share your life with, I think that both of you should be emotionally prepared. That doesn't necessarily involve previous relationships, but I think that if you have / had them, it helps to determine what you are looking for.

As for your partner, I think it is irrelevant if he had previous experiences, if he's "pure" as you say. I never talk about my previous relationships with my wife, nor will I ask about hers. That's in the private sphere.

What you choose to do is up to you, it's not your parents' choice. Of course they want someone who will treat you well, but that doesn't mean they need to decide. Listen to their opinion, but choose you own path.

I am not sure how it is in your culture. Are you from India? Is this an arranged marriage?

Most western women by the age of 27 are not going to let their parents decide who they should or should not marry.

Now that doesn’t mean these women always make the right choices. But again if you are a grown independent women then it’s your choice on that.

At age 27 why are your parents trying to control who you marry or don't marry anyway? If you were 17 it'd be more reasonable of them, but not 27.

That sounds incredibly controlling and toxic on their part.

Based on what you're saying I would cut them out of your life, or at least minimize contact with them.

If you're living together with them and can't afford to move out just yet... yeah... that's more complicated... but otherwise I would cut them out.

Means they understand you're not going to be able to handle top tier men problems. A "pure" guy is simply a synonym for an average guy. The average guy is 5'7 makes about 35k a year, and struggles to attract women. The benifit to you is he's likely to stay faithful to you simply because of the fact he can't attract anyone else.

A woman being a virgin until marriage shows a strength of character concerning the pressures that guys put on them to have sex. With guys however it is not the same since girls don’t line up to see if they can have sex with a guy. In fact I am sure most guys that are virgin are not so by their own choice. For those guys that choose to remain a virgin it does show that he can commit but it in itself doesn’t show that he would be a good husband or father.

From my experience... you won't respect him. And have already stated wouldn't be attracted to. Yes... he'll get attached to you if you're his first. Good for marriage but not for attraction. If you aren't a virgin... stay away from him.
