I'm so confused?

Long story short, I play VRchat. It's an immersive social app that allows you to socialize and meet new people.

We wear avatars that other creators made, so anyways. My friend Ashley and her boyfriend Tim (online met on vrchat) got them two matching avatars claiming he paid for them, he uploads copyrighted avatars to give to us. So that's making me think he didn't pay for them.
My other two friends Katie and Harry also are dating and like to match. So Katie found someone who was wearing a similar ripoff version of it and asked if she could have it from someone random. So she got it and was matching with her boyfriend Harry.

But Ashley got mad at Katie cause she saw them wearing them and said that it meant a lot to her that her boyfriend Tim got the matching avatars.

I honestly am laughing typing this, why is it such a big deal? She messaged me when I haven't been on I've been working and she was saying how she's mad at Katie and how she probably won't hang around us.

It's fucking avatars, I don't see the big deal? Everyone has those avatars they have i don't see the big deal? Or am I the asshole?

Forget to mention Ashley's so called boyfriend is copying avatars illegally and giving them to us. I know Tim didn't buy those avatars.

There's so much bigger problems in the world than to get upset over avatars. Who gives a fuck? Am I in the wrong?

And!! Ashley's so called boyfriend was treating her shitty, he wasn't talking to her or would get on the game when she was on. He would wait till she got off for him to go on cause he needed "space" but she was crying over it. So my heart went out to her, so it's just a series of events.
