It seems that any time I was interested in someone, they never were until after I was over them. Why is this?

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like any time I was interested in someone in the past, they had no interest at that time, but suddenly were interested later on, always after I had already moved on and no longer had any interest. Why is this?

We tend to attribute meaning/importance to coincidences, apparently it is inherent to human condition lol. If it's not coincidence, then I don't read enough description in your question to actually consider explanations
