Am I being annoying?

there is this guy that I like and he texted me last week for the first time in months so obviously I responded right away but every time I text him back, he always takes hours to respond. So should I stop texting him right away or just stop texting him? we’re going out in a few days

From my experience, I would always text back straight away because I was keen. Some people told me that it came of as desperate and some people told me it didn't. So maybe he is scared that it is coming off as desperate. Or he could just be a dick.

Either take hours to respond to him to see how he likes it or just wait and see how your guys night out goes and make a decision from there.
