While not universally true, there IS quite a bit of truth to that statement. I would say that this applies to the majority of men, but I also think that the size of that majority used to be larger - more men were willing to put up with some level of craziness, and, yes, the hotter the girl, the more crazy a lot of guys would tolerate.

Over the last 20 years, and especially the last 10, a LOT of men have gotten so fed up with the crazy that they have walked away from dating entirely, choosing peace instead of crazy, regardless of how hot the girl is. But there are still plenty of men in the game, and most of those still follow the hot/crazy matrix.

Well, wouldn't this be true for anyone? I'm not saying attractive people are infallible and able to get away with everything but they do have a slight advantage in some circumstances. I'd potentially put up with a little more bullcrap depending on how attractive I find them, but also, my hottest ex was the one I dumped the fastest for good reasons such as cheating, sexual favors with her ex for drugs, and generally poor mood management skills. Lastly I would like to say that beauty is subjective and if you really like someone a lot their physical appearance matters a good bit less. It's okay to have fun if your heart is in the place for that, but no one who is dating someone should make each other feel like shit, regardless of appearance. I am constantly evaluating how I'm feeling in the presence of others, but rose-tinted glasses sometimes need a chance to fall off as well.
