I’ve been single for a while now and recently I started talking to this girl and man the sparks were definitely flying but lately it seems like she’s been being really distant will be online but when I text her she’ll either reply we will chat a bit and then she’ll stop replying altogether even though it says she’s online. Or sometimes want reply at all but yet she still likes my flirt comments underneath her posts sometimes ones I posted days prior she’ll go back and like and she hearts other sweet stuff I’ll say to her when we do chat. I don't know but there’s definitely a change I’m trying to give her a bit of space cause we did used to chat like every day then to every other day but not it’s like every couple days. She means so much to me and I do think she cares but it also seems like she’s slowly losing interest what do I do?

Dude, this definitely sounds like a tricky situation. A few things could be going on:

- She may be losing interest slowly if she's becoming more distant with her replies and not initiating as much. Distance often leads to fading feelings unfortunately.

- However, something external could also be bothering her or distracting from the connection you guys had been building. Life gets busy sometimes.

- The sporadic liking of posts/comments almost seems like she wants to keep you interested but isn't fully engaged herself right now.

My advice - continue giving her some space like you have been while also subtly checking in every few days just to say you're thinking of her. Don't pressure for responses or seem too needy.

If it seems she's no longer reciprocating the effort after a bit more time, it may be best to take the hint and move on. You deserve someone who can't get enough of you too bro!

Keep your head up - I know the wait is annoying but better to see clearly what she wants before investing further. You'll find the right one man, just focus on you for now.

She did tell me today she’s been sick the last few days so no respond the past few days was totally understandable.

It should also be noted this is kinda long distance so we can’t see each other to be affectionate like everyone else and I was given the advice to definitely keep communication at the for front but I don’t wanna pressure her and be over baring that is a bad habit i have when I like a girl.

I do think she thinks about me and still cares but it does feel like she is losing a bit if interest and I think the distance is playing a bit of a role in that as we live in entirely different counties and long distance could have been doomed from the start.

And to be fair as recently as a week ago she said she’d be willing to wait for us to meet in person to really get closer so it could just be life well doing it’s thing I’m gonna keep and open mind and an open heart cause I really do care for her and she trusts me so I’ll trust her.

Ah man, yeah long distance definitely throws a wrench in things. It's so hard to build that kind of intimacy and connection without being able to hang out face to face.

I think you're right to keep an open mind and not stress too much. Her being sick explains the past few days, and it was cool of her to let you know what was up.

Waiting to meet in person before getting too serious is smart too. Long distance can fizzle out before you know it if there's not that IRL chemistry. So no sense rushing if you can help it.

I'd say keep chatting when you can, but like you said don't bombard her. A casual text every few days checking in is cool. Let her know you're still thinking about her and interested, without breathing down her neck.

Maybe start making plans - can you save up to visit each other sometime soon? Having a date on the books could help the excitement level stay up too.

But real talk bro she does sound like she cares about you too. I'm sure it'll all work out one way or another. Just stay chill and see where things go!

I genuinely appreciate the advice and input I’m starting a new job soon so I’d be able to save of a good amount for a trip in about a month or so I was holding off on planning anything but maybe it’d be a good idea to see if she’s interested to keep things lively.

She’s a good person it’s just hard to be ignore the fact she’d been being way more distant than usual I’ll hope for the best though if anything I’m sure I’ll be making another post sometimes soon.

Yeah dude, planning a trip to see her in a month sounds like a great idea! It gives you both something fun to look forward to, and shows her you're serious about making the long distance work.

I'd bring it up casually, like "Hey, was just thinking now that I've got this new job starting up, I'll be able to save for a visit out your way pretty soon. Maybe we could plan something for a few weeks from now? Would be awesome to finally meet in person!" See how she responds.

If she seems excited at the idea, then I think that's a really good sign she's still invested in seeing where things go between you two. The distance fading it may just be natural ups and downs. A trip could be the perfect spark to rekindle that initial magic.

Even if she's sorta lukewarm, I'd say go ahead with the plan anyway. Worst case, you visit and get closure if she's just not feeling it anymore. But best case, you could end up starting something really great man. Definitely worth a shot! Keep me posted on how it goes. Fingers crossed for ya.

I've been single for 10 years now after turning 28. I've been conflicted on the idea of finding love. Part of me wants to find someone someday who won't cheat on me like the last 3 out of the 4 did. But at the same time I think I'm far too damaged, burned and jaded for a healthy relationship and should remain single.

It will either work out with her or it won’t, not a bad reflection on you or her. She could have other things going in her life that is affecting that connection. If she is not reciprocating I’d give that space. Honestly you’re only 25 and that is young. I had a lot of potential relationships that didn’t work out for me in my twenties and I thought I’d be single forever. Met my significant other during that period and we didn’t hang out until I was 29 and we started dating when I was 30. Honestly the best relationship I’ve been in. If it doesn’t work out with this girl it will be okay, you don’t know what your life will look like a year from now

The way dating has been looking for my generation I somehow doubt that this is the first girl in a while who has really made feel like love is worth in a long time but I’ll give her a bit of space thank you for the advice sincerely
