After everything life has thrown at me, I just don't believe any more. I'm not good looking, I can't drive due to medical condition, I've never been a social person and most of my friendships have been rather one sided. If I didn't contact them, we never talk. Eventually I just decided to end them. I'm just getting older and I've realized that most things in life are fleeting.

What can I offer or bring to the table that they couldn't get somewhere else and a better version? I've asked the remaining friends I have if they know anyone, I've tried dating sites, in person attempts, a wingman, and most other things. I've decided that unless a woman makes a move, I'm not going to be in one.

I've started to be content being single. At least I don't have to fret over what someone else wants or needs. Sure, I still dream about it, but that's all it is, a dream.

I suppose I'm technically single by choice in that I'm not looking any more.

I have a new girlfriend, but no, I'll never find love again. Not until I die anyway. Once you meet your soul mate, the rest are just place holders until you're reunited

Eh, I don't know.  I don't know if I'm cut out for it. I would rather be by myself than be with someone that doesn't feel right or feel forced.

Nope, at best I will compromise out of loneliness and boredom and find someone else who has compromised out of loneliness and boredom. We won't love each other but we'll call it love so we can die without terror.

Any chance at actual love has been thoroughly snuffed out, as any part of me who would have been able to accept it is long dead. I was never compatible with the world to begin with.

It’s been almost 9 years now. I’ve made it a goal to stay single and without love for as long as I can. If I can stay single until the day I die I will go to heaven knowing that i have achieved a goal that very few can achieve.

Honestly, I'm at the point where I'm comfortable with being single, so much so that I feel that entering into a relationship at this point would do little more than disrupt my routine. And to be fair, I have yet to find a woman in my age group that meets the standards I have set.

I don't know. I'm just not worrying about it anymore. After all I'm only 50% of it. I'll either meet someone who wants to handle the other 50% or I won't. I'm happy now and that's what's important.
