How long were you in the talking stage before making it official?

Been talking to this guy for over 2 months and we still haven’t made it official. He had asked a few weeks in and I wanted to wait to be sure (due to past traumas). Then, I brought it up to him about 2 weeks after and he wanted me to go back to church first, which I did recently. Did he maybe change his mind about wanting to be serious? We still hang out and talk the same. He always says we’re not official YET.

Does "official" mean dating each other exclusively and refraining from dating others? Like being really happy that you found each other?

I don't understand the interminable "talking stage" thing. I didn't do interviews.

I never dated a woman who I didn't find physically attractive. So that eliminated that issue. The way we got to know each other was by going on dates.

So if we went on a date or two and hit it off, I quite dating others. If I thought she was great, I quit searching.
My dates did the same thing. So I guess we were "official" from that point on. You know, boyfriend-girlfriend. We would start talking to and seeing each other as often as possible.
It would be insulting to date someone and continue to date others at the same time, as if I was hoping to find someone better.

I liked being in exclusive, monogamous, infatuated, long-term relationships.
It didn't mean that we made any vows or started planning a wedding or anything. We just went with the flow.

I got myself one of those sex dolls that only weirdos are supposed to have. It can't talk, but one of its arms is stiff and creaked once, and it sounded like it said "Hi". I dunno man, after my online dating experience, I just can't handle that much attention anymore, it's overwhelming! 😂

It usually takes a while for me because I don't just jump head first into relationships. I'm not gonna start an official relationship with somebody unless I know there is definitely something beyond just a crush there. We'll probably be dating for a while before it's at that serious relationship stage.
