What’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done for someone?

Most kind things I’ve done have bitten me in the arse but ah, such is life. I could list many nice things I’ve done but I think the most influential thing I’ve done is this. When I was 17 I was visiting another city to see a friend, he went to go get a tattoo in the city so I went with him. It was a 7 hour tattoo so I spent a lot of time standing outside of the shop to get fresh air. I saw an older lady (looked around 40 years old) sitting in her car and crying her eyes out. I knocked on her window and asked if she was okay. She said no, and I asked her if she wanted to talk. I ended up sitting in her car with her for an hour while she talked to me about how her life had gone downhill, she’d lost custody of her children to her abusive ex husband, she’d lost her job, and she was now losing her house. She went on to say that she didn’t see the point in living anymore. We had a good talk and I helped her to stop crying, gave her some advice regarding her children that made her smile, and gave her a hug. I’d like to think that I made a difference and I hope that she’s still alive now and doing well.

I live by a really nice older gent. One day I noticed he was missing a leg. I never said anything, but a few days later he explained it.

I felt so bad for him. So I gave him a pretty nice Samsung phone I wasn't using. He thanks me everyday.

I don't know. I have done a lot of helpful things and some things that kept some lives from being ruined, but I wasn't trying to be nice. Maybe fix my friend's cars for free. Or pay for a moving truck and drive all my friend's shit from L. A. to Phoenix after his girlfriend kicked him out. Teach my friend how to drive. Drive an old homeless hippie hitchhiker 200 miles. Drive from L. A. to Seattle to go to a friend's wedding. Drive my friend's disabled dad 300 miles to lake Havasu. Cleaned up my friend's wrecked car before the cops found out and gave him a DUI. Stopped my friend's house from burning down. Stopped my friend from choking to death. Stopped my friend from dying of an overdose. Threatened to kill 2 scumbags with a knife and prevented my friend from being raped and possibly murdered.

I used to serve a young Black woman who was very selfish and demanding (thus making her my dream woman... lol) and she'd call me and order me to drive across town (often on Friday evening in Chicago) and quickly give her apartment a good cleaning and tidying up, before her boyfriend or male friends with benefits's arrived.

Maureen always insisted that I pay for her romantic evenings with her boyfriends, and a day or two later, she'd summon me to clean her place up again after he'd gone home.

I'm not sure I have a "nicest" thing. I had a friend who was a coworker who got fired because she spoke the truth to our boss. I quit and left with her.
