my ex-boyfriend and I broke up after doing long distance for the past 2 months. We had been dating since July but seeing each other since May. We had our issues like every long distance relationship has but they always were stupid arguments and were resolved very quickly and very healthy. I flew home this past weekend to see him, we had so many plans for the 4 days I was home. When I saw him on Thursday night it was good! there wasn't any point i thought things weren't okay. the next morning I had plans so I didn't see him until Friday night. We did the same thing since it was late watched a movie. Our plans started Saturday morning but he didn't want to sleepover so I said I would pick him up the next morning for breakfast. When he left my house at midnight he said he loved me gave me a kiss and the minute he left my driveway he texted me that the distance was getting to hard. I called him and we had an hour phone call about how the distance was a lot and how it wasn't changing soon. (I have 50 days left studying abroad, then we have winter break together then back to 3 hr long distance when were both at school) he plays D1 baseball so he told me I don't understand how busy he is going to be and how we won't be able to hangout a lot, he told me he loved me and hungup. I thought he broke up with me and was a mess Saturday. we met up Saturday night. We talked for 2 hours he cried and kept saying he doesn't know what to do. He loves me so much but can't do the distance rn. we cried and hugged, i told him i just want him to be happy and how proud I am of him for what he's doing with baseball. We ended up going bowling after we broke up and to buffalo wild wings and had so much fun. He kept saying that he loves me so much and thinks he just lost the best thing that ever happened to him + not to be surprised if he calls me in a few days. he texted me that night that this is good for a future us. We have plans to talk this Sunday but are in no contact

Wow girl, that's a lot to take in! Long distance is really hard, I get why he's struggling with it. It sounds like even though you guys broke up, he might still have feelings there deep down.
A couple thoughts - don't get your hopes up too high just yet waiting for his call. Give him space to figure his own head and heart out too without pressure. But also, it's good he said this may not be permanent. At least there's no bad blood between you.
When you talk Sunday, I'd try to get really clear on what he needs and wants long term. Does he see a future with you once distance isn't an issue anymore? Or is he fully done trying? Getting on the same page about expectations will help, even if it's not the conclusion you want.
Only time will tell if you guys are really "right person, wrong time." For now, take care of yourself and let things unfold naturally without forcing anything. He may come back around once baseball chillz some. But protect your heart too - as hard as it is, you gotta be okay if he decides it's truly over too. Stay strong girl, you've got this!
I have had experience in long distance relationships. Believe me, if you both love each other, distance is an obstacle that can be overcome. Do not be afraid to be brave and take a step towards meeting
Stop wasting time on him and meet someone better.
