I would not want the guy I'm with to feel insecure or threatened so I would not mention it. I believe we have a responsibility to make the other person happy when we choose to commit to them.

Yeah I would mention it as a best case situation to ensure she dont hear it from someone else and assume u was hiding it

I find no real reason in most cases for ex's not to be able to be civil with each other after the breakup. Many times there are kids involved and it really helps if the parents can be civil with each other.
