Guys, Do you get frustrated and/or begin to lose interest if a girl you like never initiates the first morning text?

Good morning texts? I never got those except from friends when they want me to come hang out.

Usually women I mess around with like a lot of privacy and personal space. I don't really find those girls who are super up my ass and I ALWAYS want to communicate way more than whatever woman I find. But I did have one super clingy girlfriend and that was nice, but she made me carry the conversations.

I figure I could just tell a clingy woman when to dial it back and if she is mature she could. It is a lot harder to get someone who is closed off to open up by a request.

Yes exactly!! Communication is so key.
I've NO problem if a guy says "ok I'm gonna chill for a bit now" or "I'm kinda bust next few days, I'll send you a text". I'm not clingy in terms of having to communicate. I just used to worry if a guy stops responding out the blue. Like, when do you know it's a case of being ghosted or a case of being busy?
If a week passes I'll presume ghosted and - in dating terms - move on.
Friendships are easier. I have a few people who I can just say hey to a couple of times a month, talk for a bit, then silence again.

The guy I was in love with tho... he would message me upto 17 hours a day. Daily. It was intense but i loved it (and prob reason i fell for him and felt such a bond). But he would randomly pull back too with no explanation and the void left after such intense communication from someone that makes you so happy was just awful.

Friendships are super chill like that and you don't get as attached which is nice.

I don't like getting attached to people until I can really trust them because I end up being let down and I have to recover from my social addiction to them. It's annoying.

A long distance girlfriend I had would listen to me while I was sleeping and I had my headset on. She told me how I laughed in my sleep, etc and it was sweet. It really hurt to lose her so it puts into perspective why people are so guarded.

I honestly don't need good morning texts... if I like her and I am interested on her, we meet in person and go out, now if she always has a reason not to do so, then I won't be frustrated, I'll just know she's not interested as I am, and that's it... I move on, lol

Hm. Guy I'm talking to from a dating site, we seem to be getting closer over text. He is very introverted and he got hurt in previous relationship so he seems very cautious. But he sends me good morning sweetheart texts every day. Which is so nice. At first because I sensed how cautious he is I just chatted as more a friend than considering dating him. Early on I suggested some ideas to meet in a low pressure way. But now I'm just taking it at his pace. And it's been nice. I think it's allowed for a security and comfort level to grow. I actually do see potential now if we progress to in person. So this morning I thought I'd send a morning text first for a change! To show I do like him. But I feel I should still let him do the majority of the "chasing". I may have to be a little more direct about meeting again soon tho. But I don't want to scare him away being too forward.

Because ALL the other men I've ever spoken to are just after sex and don't take the time to get to know me. So I do fear he's too weak/tame for me. But the comfort and security he offers is nice. And maybe he will grow and change too. I spent 8 years out of dating life and was totally different to how I am now. I'm sure maybe I can awaken the wild side in him? Maybe? Lol.

Haha well we not dating or anything. He's just a potential and the slow growth is kind of nice. If someone else suitable comes along then so be it.

I don't rely on such, objectively, non-event lol, as this is anti-communication to me. This would be getting problematic if she, subjectively, relied on that though. But I think I'd be able to spot that behavior, between the lines? I'm not really exposed, personally, to such problem though

I wouldn't really consider that to be something to worry about. People are busy in the morning getting ready for work or school. If I got a good morning text I would appreciate the thought but if I didn't get one I wouldn't read anything into that.
