Am I getting too carried away about this man?

I have known this local cop from my nearby town from twitter for 7 years now. I don't know why but I've had this pretty strong attraction to him since the first time. Now the more I see him over the internet, more my crush on him develops. Its just largely physical at this point since I don't know him yet. I have been thinking about joining the auxiliary force just to get a chance to meet this guy. (I have no passion for law enforcement). But I also have a feeling that some people will call me crazy or insane. I don't know if I'm just getting too carried away. But my attraction is just through the roof. And I think that him and I coming from the same cultural background just makes the attraction so much stronger.

the issue is... he doesn't own the twitter account. Its the local police station's twitter account. So I can't just "reach out" to him. I also have seen him on youtube and the news. I first had my crush on him 7 years ago. But now, the more I see him, the stronger the crush is getting.

Currently I've just been having a real hard time meeting men. I work in a field where its 95% women. So joining the auxiliary force might be good in helping me meet more men

I dont think there is a big risk. Police officers date and marry each other all the time. People tend to date those who are around them the most. Worst case scenario is there is no chemistry or attraction. It still leaves me with plenty of other options in the police station.

Broadening social circile is way easier said than done. No clubs near where I live. I never get approached by men.

I have used dating apps for many years. Over my time, I have come to realize that its mostly low quality or problematic people who can't find anyone in real life that gravitates toward these apps. I've had enough traumatic stories from online dating.

Its much easier said than done to just join a local club. There are very few "local clubs" around. Unless its the pricey martial arts classes that I can't afford. There is also an online hiking group too but I am not into hiking. There is a local volleyball club that meets every two weeks but I am terrible at volleyball and the guys there are rather unattractive.

I know it sounds extreme to join the auxiliary force. But I am only doing it because I have no other option. Police Officers are usually young, fit, handsome, moral people (for the most part).

I am also part of the gym, no guy ever approaches me there. Its very difficult.

My plan is to befriend him, get on his good side, talk about what we have in common. We are both from same culture and background so we already have that connection. I won't just hit on him the first time we meet. But its better to just be friends and see how we get along. If there is potential, I will subtly show my interest. You gotta take risks in life if you want good things

Telling me I should never try to meet him but rather try to get to know every other guy on earth besides him is kinda like saying I should never scratch the itch on my back but instead scratch all the places that dont itch
