Did I deal with this the right way?

I had been messaging someone anonymously online. I was using a one way service so she didn’t know who I was. After spamming her probably 100 times a day. I guess she was creeped out. I eventually told her that I wanted to meet her. Talk… and get to know her.

I show up at the restaurant standing around. No sign of her…. I figure she was a no show and wasn’t interested in meeting me. Until someone walked up to me. He said to me “hey someone’s been harassing my girlfriend and wanted to meet her here” he kept telling me about this man and how creeped out she is by him. He was asking me for help in looking for him I guess since I’m a bigger guy by what he implied.

After I heard him tell me about him I told him “there is just one problem” he looked at me puzzled before I told him that I was the man who was messaging his girlfriend. Before I could explain to him that… I didn’t want any trouble and did not know she was take. His eyes got really wide mumbled something and walked off.

I messaged her that…. “Had a nice talk with your boyfriend I didn’t want to cause you any problems” except this time I emailed her on a regular email. She basically told me not to contact her again.

I think her boyfriend was more surprised I look normal

Leaving her alone. It was just weird that her boyfriend confided in me before he knew who I was. He told me to be looking out for someone who looks like he lives in moms basement.

When he found out who I was he basically ran off before I could say anything.

And it wasn’t stalking. I didn’t get her personal information or keep contacting her after she asked me to stop. She tried contacting law enforcement but they basically told her they can’t do anything unless I continue. To which she got angry and cussed them out.

Sounds fine I guess. What you should be dealing with now though is not being down bad, especially for some girl you’ve never even met. Being not ugly doesn’t give you special privileges to harass people.
