Went in for a scheduled job interview and only one person was there and he didn't have the authority to do interviews.

I showed him the interview confirmation and asked if he could call his manager, which he did, and she said to come by tomorrow "sometime before 10". (by the way she texted this all to him and he just relayed the message)

I wrote down my name and number and told him I would not be coming tomorrow and to let his manager know that if she wants to interview me she can call me and set up a time.

I don't think I want to work there even if she does call back because that's so unprofessional...

Just so y'all know this place is short staffed and now I know why. Manager doesn't do shit

the kind of message they're sending is, either a careless one or one that says "we're just so above you" like you do not matter or they don't really need you

that kind of attitude at the work place doesn't go well most of the times

maybe they were really really busy at the moment, but still... giving such a vague response as "sometime before 10" while they still had you to schedule an interview confirmation and all, that's just weird... rude, lol

I don't know how badly you need a job but it might just happen that everyone was extremely busy that day? I don't know. If you have nothing else to do tomorrow then show up and see how it goes. If they fuck you over again then I say wash your hands of it

Yeaaaa, the manager is in the wrong. It is her job to reschedule stuff if she can’t make it. She should have emailed or called you.

I think you did the right thing. The manager's behavior showed disorganization and lack of professionalism - also, just like job candidates, prospective employers try to give their best impression - if this person did not bother to even try, how would it be to actually work under them?
