I can't tell if I'm attractive or not?

I'm 18 and I'm pretty skinny so I don't think there's anything wrong with my weight other than maybe I seem too boney or something (for reference I'm about 5'2"ish and 95 pounds) so I feel like maybe it's something with my face.

I've never been asked out before but my friends and family say I'm pretty and I'm just too shy and that's why I'm not getting asked out. I've also had some guys make fun of me before and call me hot but in a mocking kinda way (at least to me it seemed mocking since they've been jerky to me in the past).

I just can't tell and it drives me crazy cuz I don't know how to get any straight answers from anyone.

Your family is right. It may SEEM like men make the first move. But in reality women do, in her letting him know her willingness to be approached. Don't feel bad. This is a problem with A LOT of women today. Guys do not like putting themselves out there anymore then women do. So Guys are more likely to approach when the woman demonstrates her receptiveness to being approached. After he approaches though your job isn't done. He has to feel safe. He needs feedback that he's meeting with your approval. This is a learning process for a guy as much as it is for a woman.

Pretty to whom? People are going to have their own opinions and it's impossible to please everyone. Being thin is usually a good start for most men, though.
