Honestly, I believe I am. I’m not very good or don’t make a potential partner. And the way the world is today it’s better to be single. Especially, if I were to date a guy now, he would think I’m like the rest of today’s women. Also, I plan to reject every guy that’s interested.

Fearing intimacy and vulnerability... the cure is what you describe above. It's just pain you are avoiding... albeit, emotional pain.

I think you are probably capable of showing someone you are not like the rest of every other woman. Though the policy of rejecting any guy that's interested is a pretty effective, maybe not the the healthiest but certainly effective way of avoiding them. Maybe fishing in different ponds would be better than giving up the pastime altogether
