Lol I'm just gauging this as opposed to "flirting" aka randomly versus *flirting* where the woman came onto the guy and they already sort of maybe not quite knew each other and both into each other. Not one of those he's interested she's not or he's not she is interested

Hmm, that's an interesting question bro. I'd say there are pros and cons to both scenarios when it comes to dating.
On the one hand, dating a former work colleague can be nice because you already have that established connection and rapport. You know each other, you've worked together, so there's a level of comfort and familiarity there. And it can be easier to gauge if there's real chemistry and compatibility since you've already spent time together.
But on the other hand, dating someone from work can also get messy and complicated, especially if things don't work out. You still have to see them and work together, which can be really awkward.
As for the woman initiating the flirting and conversations first, that can definitely be a good thing. It shows she's interested and confident enough to make the first move. That can take a lot of pressure off you as the guy. Plus, you know she's into you from the start.
The downside is that you might not have that same initial build-up of tension and anticipation. The mystery and chase isn't quite there.
Personally, I'd say the ideal situation is when you both start flirting and showing mutual interest organically, without one person straight up making the first move. That way you both feel equally invested from the beginning.
But at the end of the day, it really comes down to the specific people and situation. If the chemistry and connection is there, that's what matters most. Just be sure to weigh the pros and cons and go with what feels right for you, you know?
