Probably not, if you want to stay friends.
But I'd be very specific about who I defined as "friend", too. Someone who has been there for me through thick and thin and is a genuinely great person? They are a keeper and I would not jeopardize that relationship. Someone who happens to have been in the same circle as me for a large part of my life and is a "proximity friend"? I'm not going to sweat it. I know that seems harsh, but I have some experience in this particular area. Some people can't process why a guy (or gal) would prefer their friend to them and it turns into drama. I have a low tolerance for drama...
Would I feel sad and hurt if I really liked a guy and he liked my friend better? Of course. But I'm an adult and can process through disappointment while being happy for my friend's good fortune. To do otherwise is a lack of maturity and an entitled attitude.
Words of gold yet again Ms. Potts. Agreed entirely đź’Ż
Thanks and glad to hear it! :D
No, that's a bitch move, definitely someone you cannot trust if they do that

It would just depend on how close of a friend they are to me , if they were a close friend, then no I wouldn’t date her period , but if he wasn’t that close of a friend to me then I’m sorry bro,, she wants me I and I want her , so you are shit out of luck . I was in this situation a few times in my lifetime before and shit happens.
On principle: no
And if you can help it: don’t
But life is a bit more complicated sometimes.
If you only found out later or your friend has been rejected and needs to move on but can’t then you they need to understand that it’s not personal against them if you did date
That being said, matters of the heart have a way of blinding people to rationality. So if you value your friendship you wouldn’t create such a situation
I wouldn't do that personally, but I won't judge people who have.
I would. As long as they’re not in a committed relationship with this man, then they have no claim on them. I’ve been in this situation with a bestie liking the same man and he appeared to like me too. I made a move. It turns out that he was pretending to like me, to pay me back for upsetting one of his female friends years ago. According to his friend. So it backfired. But I’d make the move again in other situations.
What you should do is ask your friend point blank if they are going to go for that woman or not. If they even have to think about it for more than 2 seconds you say, "I got this." If they are certain then you should respect that.
If my friend has feelings for him, it means he isn’t my type. So I wouldn’t date him.
No. There are enough women out there that I will not battle a friend for the affections of one.
Does the person like that friend back? If they don't like that person that likes them back then yes.
No. That’s a recipe for disaster.
God no.
Not right
Hmmm no
Never
