Because people feel entitled to another person when they’re not. Rejection is rejection…. Be glad someone is being direct in a nice way and move on. Be glad they’re not wasting your time….. So you can find someone else.

It’s okay if you wait a while and ask again later. But I mean… Later later if the interest is even still there. You need to be firm that the answer is no. If someone wants you genuinely they won’t reject you. It’s really that simple
