Well some do yes and it’s for many reasons. One reason is he gets nervous about the future. He is worried he will get hurt, dumped, the relationship won’t end well, etc. Sometimes it’s form past trauma or whatever. It could also be from legitimate red flags.

Another reason is that she isn’t compatible maybe he is attracted to her but there is something that’s a dealbreaker. Whatever that may be it could be any number of things.

Another reason is that some people are doing it to hurt someone. It makes no sense to me… at all. That after being rejected for so long that someone you’re genuinely attracted to makes a move on you. To shut them down? It’s stupid. But some people do it as a means of feeling on top. Also some people are weird about when someone makes a move on them. But regardless most those people wouldn’t make a good relationship partner anyways.

Yes. Much the same reason women do. Guys need to feel the love as well (some guys more than others). So it doesn't matter how much some of us like a woman if we don't feel it back.
