Why do people try to morph into the person or style of theirs crushes type?

Not just with romantic relationships but I find that that the more empathetic a person is, the more they adopt traits they are fond of in people they care about.
For example, my teenage niece often uses some ridiculous expressions. I’ve found myself experiencing something and hearing her voice in my head— oh, I know Ella would say xyz. And the more I hear it, the more I can feel it forming in my own throat. And bam, suddenly I’ve used a ridiculous expression I never would have entertained in the past.
Same thing has happened with a song she likes that I can’t stand. Because it’s my niece, I feel a sudden fondness, like oh, Ella loves this song.

They're dumb. Women do this a lot! I see it all the time on here. At least a 3rd of the questions from women are, "how can I make a guy...". These women think the guy just hasn't seen who she is. And if she could just manipulate him enough to turn his gaze by being EXACTLY what he wants that he'll fall in love with her.

Is this possible? Maybe. But it's certainly not probably. These b****es have seen too many rom-coms. Real life does not work like that.

These people sometimes to have this reality beaten into thier heads. And some people learn fast. But some people learn slow. And always some people simply never learn. They're the 40+ year Olds on here still asking the same question.

Thank you for your answer. I've had this happen a few imes with guys who liked me, some of them and most recently i didn't like back. Just wondered why as it happens often.

Im not planning to change or compete with someone whos disingenious as i dont want a guy who is easily fooled. I guess there's no wayof getting around this type of behaviour or away from it when they have set their sights on someone.

No there isn't but you can do your best to NOT give them any false hopes. Some women only know how to deal with men in 1 way. Thier switch is always in the "flirt" position. So guys who she has zero interest in think she's interested. Why wouldn't they!
Try to remember guys do not like rejection anymore then women do. The vast majority of guys WILL not do this unless they think she's made the first move by declaring interest.
