I've seen this more than once in which a woman goes on a date, I look up her social media, see her taking pictures with a child or two, and with a bit more research learn that she has children. Why hide your children from potential fathers?

I can’t speak from experience as I have a child with my partner and we’re still together. But if I ever were to become single and started dating again, I wouldn’t want a man to meet my child until the relationship was established and it became clear that they’ll be sticking around long term. I don’t want someone to come into my child’s life who my child then forms an attachment to, only for that person to disappear and leave my child upset. But also, my child already has a father, whoever I would be dating would never be their father - they would only be “moms boyfriend”.
See that's a good answer and makes lots of sense, however I mean they actually hide the fact they have a child in the first place all together so essentially if a man doesn't want children, the moment they find out later that man is likely going to feel they had their expectations subverted
The women I know these days hide them because some men seek out single moms just to harm their children.
I may have asked the question wrong. I'm saying why do women who are single mothers deliberately hide the fact that they have children already a lot. Badly worded question.
Another one for the “things that never happen” file.
If that does happen, I am sure as hell have never seen it.
