Why do girls give second chances to guys that treated them like garbage but guys who treated them good?

So in her previous relationship she was sexually manipulated and often pressured into doing things against her will she ultimately broke up with him and later found out he married the mother of his child. She begged him to come back even offering to be his sidekick. I treated this girl great even though I was verbally and physically abused. She broke up with me when I finally stood up to her abuse she cut me off and made no attempt to ever try to date again

If you treat someone well and they walk away you shouldn't be looking for a second chance. When you actually treat sometime well and they don't reciprocate and leave, you dodged a bullet

It was because I couldn’t understand why she was as abusive as she was towards me even when she would hit me and call me all sorts of horrible names I would never hit or call her a name back
