I don't think men should ever get into committed relationships and certainly not marriage nowadays, do you agree?

No benefit to it for men. Lots of women nowadays sleeping around, hooking up and committing for men is insane.

Why not just friends with benefits or hookups, then move on. It's a better strategy since most women aren't relationship material nowadays, I guess.

Yeah I disagree I mean I went to the worst divorce of all and I mean I gave her everything when I left she got the house she got everything except for my dirt bike in my truck and she put me through hell
A few times but once she found the guy all that ended thank God

But the thought of marriage and commitment and being loyal and happy with somebody's beautiful thing and it's hard to find you have to make sure you know the person from the inside out not the outside in you have to be on the same page with life with everything and it's a job I mean you have to work at it but it's well worth it in the long run I believe anyway you can be a very beautiful thing

I have been hammering away on the modern casual dating for a while now and it’s left me with nothing but a feeling of emptiness


I wouldn’t say I regret the life I live or that I’m desperate to start a relationship with the first woman that says yes to me.


But there is a case to be made for my friends who did find someone.


They get to have what I have never had: a teammate.
When the going gets tough a teammate is what you need.
I have been solo’ing every obstacle in life and they have all left me with a different scar each time

Speaking as a guy who has been married... twice... for most of my adult life, I respectfully disagree with your premise.

Marriage and committed relationship may not be right for all, but it's right for more than some.

Men focus on the wrong women. Women who have nothing but one thing to offer and then act shocked when she’s throwing herself around town.

Find a woman who contributes as well. If it’s one sided… leave it’s not worth it

Disagree. With the right woman, which is key, a committed relationship is good for both the man and the woman. That's true of marriage, too.

The problem is, there are far fewer "right" women today than in the past, and many don't have the values or commitment to make a healthy marriage last a lifetime. Half of marriages end in divorce, women file 80% of them, and men get screwed in divorce, in court and child custody.

It's a minefield for men today, but I still believe it's a valid and worthy goal because for most people of both sexes (and their children), a HEALTHY marriage is the best model to achieve happiness in life.

No. But I do think men need to be very selective. I do think the majority of women today are not marriage material.
