Oh my I wonder?

It couldn’t be the high divorce rates.
It can’t be that in a divorce the woman gets half of everything plus the kids and child support which she will probably spend on herself.
It can’t be the female entitlement we see ever so frequently.
It can’t be that the me too movement has made it so women could ruin a innocent man’s life with a single tweet.
It can’t be how the economy is so trash that just paying for yourself is already near impossible and so are paying for a wedding and the other expenses that come with marriage.
It can’t be that men are just stressed out enough as is and don’t have the ability to put up with the stresses of having a wife and possibly kids.

Nope it’s none of those things! Instead it’s male entitlement, the patriarchy, the stars not aligning properly and his ex girlfriend.

Because many guys hear only the bad sides of marriage like being used, being bound to a partner, having to pay for ages if she wants a divorce...
It´s the negative conditioning about relationships that keep men away. Another aspect I see is that there many alternatives that give guys the intimacy they want without having the responsibility and accountability of a marriage.
Like there are so many relationship types where as a guy you can get what you want without having to give more than you what so there is no need to marry.

I don’t know the answer. But that’s their personal choice to make and why someone chooses to do something does not really matter.  Nobody is forced to get married.

I believe in marriage even though I had a very bad experience in my first one. If I ever married again I would be much more careful in the woman I chose. My ex wife of 9 years is a covert narcissist, in Nov. 2018 she filled for divorce, hid my mail, went to court, and then continued to live with me for another 7 months, until one day I came home from work to an empty house and the decree sitting on my bed. All of her things and my daughter's room were gone, I later found out other details that are pretty hard to process and I blamed myself for.
I took a lot of time to remember who I was and was able to separate what I was at fault for and things that were beyond my control.
My ex now keeps my daughter believing I don't want to see her, while I'm paying about half of my income for my daughter's health insurance and child support.

It’s not necessarily that every man who doesn’t want marriage is scared as some women may think that’s the reason. Always funny how women answer for men in situations that men only understand like they had a pair of balls at one time in their life. Men don’t want marriage for a lot of reasons. One being that a lot of women these days aren’t worthy of it. Or they’ve seen other men in their life shafted by marriage and the law. They’re more focused on achieving something else like a job or business. They’re not religious like me so they don’t believe in marriage. There’s numerous reasons. Maybe he feels he’s not worthy of it because he doesn’t see himself as a man financially.

If you are not ready to be naked and have laid bear all that makes you, you before another imperfect human for the rest of your natural life, then marriage isn't for you.

If you are not ready to sacrifice, forgive and grow constantly - then marriage is not for you.

If you realize marriage is not for you and your own and honest about it then you are one ahead in the game of life.

Because marriage is not something that has any benefit to men. Not kidding, why sign a contract where if the woman (and women kill marriage in 90% of divorces) chooses on a whim to terminate the contract he loses everything he has, even property he had prior to marriage, and loses his family and is forced to pay child support and alimony for a choice that was not his, to a woman who was supposed to love him and follow wedding vows. Women treat marriage like something you just wipe your ass with and throw away. The further left a woman leans the worse it is too. Screw that.

Im not. Its because of the high rates of divorce. In some states men sometimes are liable for spousal support and some of the other ugly stuff.

I can only answer for myself. It is because I am currently too selfish to want to be obligated to anyone. I like to go where I want, when I want, with whom I want, spending my money how I like, and married men can't, or at least should not, do that.

I've also worked on a lot of divorces, and I know my personality quirks need to be rectified or they would inevitably lead to that for me if I were to marry.

I'm not against it myself it's what I want... but I can understand it... marriage is a big commitment legally if you're a man... If anything goes wrong or your wife turns out to be not the person you expected... She has the upper hand almost all the time... And guys today think that most modern women are not worth the fight because they tend to be unfaithful and selfish... so the woman would leave them sooner or later... And that actually happens a lot nowadays...

Please name a good reason for a man to get married these days. The number one reason men are refusing to get married. The Family law In the court system. Until women change the law to make it more equal, you can forget getting married. It's going to get a lot worse before it even thinks about getting better. Because we often end up living in one room whilst the ex wife lives in our house. Then we see the child if allowed once every month. We are legally abligated to pay for the wife's accommodation whilst she fucks her new man in our bed and our children have to call him Daddy.

Unnecessary commitment as co-habiting is a reasonable alternative.

Risk of failure due to high divorce rates, and many initiated by women. Women who may well benefit disproportionally in divorce settlements.

We might also reflect that women are not presenting themselves as the potential loyal wives that some men aspire to marrying.
