So there's this girl at work that I haven't formally met but we know each other's name just working in the same area, well I've been to shy to conversate, therefore never formally asked for her name, well I just greeted her and genuinely felt a connection with how down to earth she is, and she's done some friendly gestures when passing by me. Anyways, one day after work she said "good night- followed with my first name" & since I already knew her name, out of shyness and nervousness with how cute she is, I said goodnight and hesitated pretending I didn't know her name (cuz she never gave it to me personally) so we just laughed it off after she gave it to me! I guess I never gotten shy before with talking to girls, but when she's around she just makes me smile, anywho did I mess it up, don't want her thinking I am not interested enough to remember her name, in fact I think she's super gorgeous, anywho did I mess it up? Lol

Oh she will remember that you are interested in her. Don't worry about that. There is more to showing interest than looking shy or pretending to be. You knew her name and that means that you must have either

1. looked her up or
2. asked someone for her name or
3. found out another way

Fact is that you had an eye on her for a while but did not want to come up as a creep by addressing her directly, which is highly commendable.

You did not mess it up, just made it a little awkward but she probably realized that you have a crush on her.
