My friend helped me get a date with a woman she dislikes, is that weird?

Your friend obviously saw you as a good man and if you liked your crush then that was all for your friend to know. She acted as your wingman (wing woman in this case) and she stepped up & put in a good word for you dude, you should be happy and thank her for being such a good friend!

If my friend wanted this girl/boy to like him or her then I’d totally put in a good word even if I personally dislike the person. My love & admiration & respect for my friend is bigger than hatred for that one mate (the crush). That is someone of high integrity and regard who puts friends happiness over oneself, you should be thanking them not questioning their motives or whatever.

Well you know, as a friend we are willing to protect our close ones that we cherish & want to be happy so she was like “I just have a feeling about this person….”. Though since she saw your love was pure for this chick, she put aside bias and put in a good word so you could be happy which just shows what a good friend you got there. You have a really good friend there and you should keep her around. She just wanted to help you get what you want. By saying she doesn’t like her doesn’t mean she thinks she will be abusive to you she’s just not your friends type of person it sounds like. It’s not weird at all. Freinds that don’t care wouldn’t do anything for you at all remember that and don’t forget she exists if you end up in a relationship with this other girl.

A girlfriend of mine played wingman for my current partner and I. She just recently divulged that she's not his biggest fan and thinks l deserve better. When I asked her why she played wingman for me if she felt that way she said "I'm not gonna stop you going for what you want. I want you to be happy and if he makes you happy then I support it. If he's sticking around he'll grow on me but if he hurts you then I know where he lives."

He's a good guy but sometimes he has a weird way of expressing things. I've been tracking their interactions and have picked up on when he's words run her the wrong way and take the time to explain to her where he's coming from. and explain to him how people might find that particular behavior off-putting. I like my people to get along. I have no intentions of dropping one person to keep another around without a very valid and logical reason.

I don’t find it weird because I’ve done it before. The woman wasn't super deplorable, and my guy friend was too shy so I put in a good word for him. I’m not a hater, if I can make something happen for a friend then I’d do it.

That's not weird. She's a good friend. How she feels about the other woman is unimportant if she knows that you like her.

She's either a great friend to you, or she's a psychopath that knows you suck and wanted to see her enemy suffer in a relationship with you. If she starts intervening in the relationship to sabotage it or hurt the other girl, you'll know the answer.
