Would you take someone back who first had no ambitions but then worked on themselves?

You'd have tried to make them find a job and work for their own success, but they didn't really seem to try so you went for someone else.

But later it turns out they just took longer and finally got a grip on their success and now that you're in a relationship with someone else but still liked who you left, would you consider giving them a second chance if you were closer to them than to your partner?

Yep. We are both in school, so we don’t really have a lot going on for ourselves. It is pretty much what you describe, but we are doing it together, bettering ourselves for the future.

What I'm asking is whether you would leave your current partner for someone you liked more but who didn't seem good enough in the beginning.

No. Not a chance. I like who I have and would not give him up for another.
