Would it be weird to tell him happy birthday or just say hey?

There’s this guy i used to talk to but we stopped talking due to a fall out & he took me on dates & stuff & was so sweet. Anyway, it’s been a couple of months & I want to reach out to him & try again by either telling him happy birthday on snapchat since it notifies people that it’s someone’s birthday or just text him “hey” tomorrow which is weeks before his birthday. I don’t want to seem weird or stalker like i was thinking about him hard or eating for it to be his birthday lol i dont know.

Thanks everyone! i think the happy birthday is good too. Also i wasn’t going to just say hey with the other choice. Anyway me and him fell out because he was jealous of seeing me with somebody from school and we got into an a bad argument but he’s added me back so i think we’ll be fine. i already reached out to him back then about 3 months after the incident so im not scared life is too short lol. but things were still kind of fresh so we just had nice small now months have passed so im trying

Don't say "hey"... Say "Happy Birthday" and that's it if it's just about a snap-whatever notification. Anything more and he'll think you're fishing for him out of some level of interest.

i say go for it. wish him a happy birthday when the time comes then later on in the day ease your way into conversation by asking “what’d you do today”, “how’s your birthday been” etc. based on his response to that, you’ll either be able to reestablish some form of contact if all goes well, or on the flip side he won’t want to speak to you and you can just count your losses and carry on. either way is a win and you can rest knowing you tried and now have closure from the situation :)

Try having a normal conversation, say something a little better than just "hey". If this guy hasn't contacted you then why do you want him back in life? Why did you have a falling out?
