How is it all my outgoing/ super charismatic friends not able to keep a partner for long I thought these traits were attractive?

The problem with charismatic people is that they don't STOP being charismatic just because they're in a relationship. That energy continues to be directed to people outside the relationship, which is then difficult for their partner to understand.

For example, my first boyfriend and I were both VERY private but also VERY charismatic. Our relationship worked very well. The one issue is that we were too young and felt we had our whole future ahead of us, so we parted ways. I got married to someone who I *thought* was charismatic, but he actually expected me to give up any friends I had to be 100% focused on him unless I was at work... He had full-on meltdowns if I spoke to anyone at all for any reason, even at work... guy or girl... it was very draining... He ended up being very violent with me... we split.

The solution is to find someone who is equally charismatic but also has a strong character (not a jealous, small-minded sort of outlook on life). Someone who trusts that you're not going to run off and cheat on them just because you're speaking to someone.

Lol, no they aren't desirable traits, cause they will always draw all the attention from others towards them and when surrounded by friends and their partner they will neglect their partner.

They are great for maintaining friendships, but for me so far not for romance.

Because outgoing and charismatic personalities are only desirable on an individual level, which is to imply they are not desired by everyone.
