Is it good to date guys you don’t feel insane attraction to?

I have this guy who kept hitting on me on a dating site for people with Asperger’s. I generally prefer really masculine looking men with scruffy appearances. The man that seems the most interested in a relationship with me isn’t my usual type. He’s preppy looking and blonde. He’s also a model. Clean cut and boyish. Far from my usual type. But my usual type wasn’t working for me. So I thought of trying something different.

when I look at him, I don’t feel insane, animal lust for him, like I have had for some men, but I find him quite cute; especially as we’ve gotten more acquainted. Is that enough of a basis for a potential long term relationship to come from? I also feel like I like the idea of sleeping with him, if we decide to be in a serious relationship, sometime further down the track.

Insane animal lust may dwindle once you find out the truth about someone. Perhaps give it time and even the most normal, average Joe's can become the best lovers if you learn to value other things more than appearance. Sure HOT people can make you lustful and that's a cue to point your lust at someone who deserves it who may lust at you as much and you can share that with each other in a lust^2 combo.

I’ve felt it for some guys, but I know what you’re saying. It’s best not to have your judgment clouded by too much lust.

I don't mean it's bad if you have it, I just mean it's not something that you can really expect.

Just like it's nice to have a 10/10 guy, but that's probably not realistic.

Same with a billionaire guy.

And so on. We have to compromise on some things. :)

Who the person truly is on the inside it's not about looks of course they help

But it's about who that person is on the inside that's what you should be worried about more than anything and then the looks because the looks are only going to make you happy for a while but who's the person is on the inside is going to make you happy for a long time you can find both together the first you have to know the person on the inside that's what it is all about that is called longevity of relationship that is called true love because you know exactly who that person is

Data person right there in your community who you think you might like

Data person long distance that you talk to either on the phone on computer or whatever that you don't get to see you just get to feel the heart the voice the kindness.

Like I said there's many many different types of love out there people say no there's only one but there's many factors that take you to that one and you have to have all those factors which is part of a love but anyway..

Physical touch versus energy touch physical touch would be the guy you're dating right there in your community

Energy. Touch long distance if you have ever experienced that it will freak you out because it is one of the most beautiful feelings you'll ever have or ever get and if you get to understand that and get that experience it'll blow you away because then there will become the time that you get that chance to have that physical touch with that person too in order to have the energy touch you have to know who they are on the inside I guarantee you that an energy touch will take you to the moon faster than a physical touch but you have to know the person on the inside

People would say it's crazy but that kind of agree but I am so curious you date the guy in your community then you date at the same time even if you wanted a long distance person and see which one completes you more now this is only for a period of time because eventually that long distance person has to come in give you that physical touch too but just for the first part of it that experiment would just tell you everything about having a relationship with anybody really but anyway I'm just babbling now. Even though I would love to do that experiment

But no matter what it's one foot in front of the other and you'll keep going and keep going until you find that person I guess

Honestly? What's the point of dating someone you're not attracted to? It's just you settling for something you don't want.

For example, if you go to your favorite fish spot for lunch and they're out of fish, do you just go for whatever's left or do you leave to go somewhere you'll find what you're looking for?

Personally, I'd wait and go find the thing I'm looking for.

If you find a guy very attractive, that doesn't mean you're compatible. Conversely, a guy who looks average could be a great match for you. If I were you and a guy who maybe doesn't look like Brad Pitt but is otherwise very nice and very interested in me, I would at least give him a chance. No one can know in advance whether it will match.

If she just wants to date him for money, or free meals, etc, I don’t see any problem with that; he just needs to be realistic about her interest in him.
