Should I have low expectations?

I’ve been seeing this guy for about a month. We went on a bunch of dates and had a really good time together. He told me he really liked me and that when he likes someone he has no intention of being with other girls. He left to travel Europe for a bit with his gay friend and 18 year old brother and then he’s going to china with his dad. I don’t expect him to text me all the time cuz he’s travelling with his family but I’m just scared that he’s gonna stop talking to me while he’s away and forget about me. He’s gone for 18 days. Should I have low expectations? That he will not get with Any other girls while he is there? How do I just not care about what he is doing. Like I wish I was travelling but I’m home and I live in a cold county so there not much to do. How do I not care about the things he does but still talk to him? And not expect anything?

It’s okay to miss him and hope for the best. Honestly, we can’t control what may or may not happen. It will be a good test to see how honest he is and if he’s worth investing. Keep it low and be open to the outcome. He’s traveling, so he will be busy. Keep yourself busy too.
