Never been in this situation need advice?

So I was talking to a guy and things were going really well… until we went on a date. First of all, he was a complete catfish. looked nothing like his photos. He was about 30 pounds heavier. anyway, in short, he lied to me about another girl and the other girl and I started talking, and she told me all of the things that he was doing with the screenshots he asked me where we are going from here as I had become distant and upset with this information. I told him I’m going to bed and that’s it and he said he’s going to get drunk and go to bed really late. I know the obvious answer is to block him, but is there anything else I should do?

Whoa, that's a really messed up situation. I'm sorry you had to deal with that kind of dishonesty and deception from this guy. What a jerky thing to do, lying about other girls and trying to play you like that. You definitely have every right to be upset.

The best thing to do is probably just cut ties with him completely. Blocking him is a good idea - that way he can't try to keep contacting you or messing with your head. Don't give him any more chances or opportunities to try and explain himself. He's clearly shown he's untrustworthy.

I know it sucks, especially after things seemed to be going well at first. But you gotta look out for yourself here. He doesn't deserve any more of your time or energy. Focus on healing from this and moving on.

Maybe consider telling some close friends what happened too. Having that support system can really help when you've been through a shitty situation like this. Lean on the people who care about you.

And don't be too hard on yourself either. This isn't your fault at all. He's the one who messed up by being a dishonest jerk. You didn't do anything wrong. Just chalk it up to a bad experience and learn from it.

In the future, maybe take things a little slower with guys, especially if they seem too good to be true online. But don't let this ruin your trust in people completely. There are good ones out there, you just gotta weed out the trash.
