Why do you think men will date one girl for years (like 8-9 years) but marry a girl he just met 2-3 months ago?

This thing happened with many women ik. Why did this happen? Is it the right time or the right women thing?

Well this is the sad reality of stringing someone along and future faking and the other extreme of rushing marriage too fast. Both are major red flags that can cause someone to waste years of their life with the wrong person. Marriage should come up naturally after one another knows they are right for one another. Wasting a decade of someone’s life is absolutely disgusting to me though but so is rushing someone to sign the contract and in a messy divorce later.

Unfortunately, narcissists are wanting someone for now but they are holding out for someone else. They have someone there as a backup plan if nothing else works out he has someone to marry or she. So they future fake they act like they see a future even if they’re really looking for someone else and many times unfortunately cheating many times.

The other extreme is they want to love bomb someone and trying to lock them down as soon as possible. It’s like a used car salesman rushing you to sign on that dotted line. Except…. This isn’t a piece of crap car. This is marriage. This is your future. This is someone you’re going to spend the rest of your life with or at least a period of time if they divorce you.

People need to see the extremes of wasting time with someone as well as rushing way too fast. If someone’s rushing marriage there is probably nefarious intentions. Both are victims of a narcissist

The first one he's finding out the pros and cons of long term and marriage then will know his own wishes and aspirations and when there's someone who ticks those boxes or is an even better fit then they'll go for it.

Imagine going through 8 years of college and then switching majors and being told you need to go for a brand new 8 years

You’ll lose your mind

Typically 8 years of life experience teach a lot already

So with the new partner it takes less time to figure out the pros and cons

(2, 3 months sounds alarmingly short but what took 8 years might only take 1 year this time)
