There are too many potential problems with such a system. How could any of the reviews be verified as accurate? A bad review, especially one that is inaccurate, could cause someone problems in their personal or professional lives. I can't imagine that an app would want the legal liability or the work of policing such a system.
Yelp and Carfax work as instead with the same risks. But since men are more likely to be abusive/violent, only allowing women to review men at first would make sense also considering they're at higher risk.

If the app is built on the fact that men can't be trusted until vetted by women, a lack fo bad reviews cannot be assumed to indicate safety- it's not like a background check was conducted and verified references obtained. Furthermore, men could have women they know set up profiles and review them.

If a woman has a good first date, she has no incentive to tell other women on the app that she's vetted the guy/had a good date with him unless she has no interest, in which case she's not likely to waste her time commenting. If she knows she wants to go on a second date, she has no incentive to let the the other women on the app know she had a good first date, especially since the stakes of doing so are particularly obvious in your proposed business model.

No, too much room for abuse. While some Yelp reviews of doctors and other professionals can get kind of personal, they generally have to focus on how the person behaves in a business sense.
I was recently the victim of a bad review for something I sold on eBay. The guy didn't even have the right item, the quantity or condition of what I sold him. Usually eBay won't remove reviews but this one was so inaccurate they did so at my request.
I don't see why that same level of moderation can't be done on the apps. People going on less dates with bad people would cut down on the volume of reviews. Good people will get more reviews while bad people would either not get matched or learn to get better to start getting good reviews

No its not a product we're reviewing, nor a service, imagine you're going to date a girl and the app says she's bad in bed, or something bad in general, now the guy would have a preset in his mind how the girl would be, or even develop some red flags for the person.
Now about fucking up, there would be people who are nervous or have never been on a date, they just dont know what to do, or how it works, those people would just not get a date anymore, if they are tagged as weird or something.

The main issue I want to solve is making sure people who are abusive, violent or mean are on notice and people can identify them instead of having to find out for themselves after giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Being bad in bed to one person is different than it is for others. Most people on the apps understand this, and if they don't, they aren't ready for matches anyway.
