Dating in your 30's after divorce?

I'm sure how to approach this question but i guess what I'm trying to ask is has anyone else had trouble dating in their 30's post divorce, I've used a few dating apps but I feel like after talking to someone in my age range for 3 to 5 days and it's going great and we will even exchange numbers, they boom Thursday, Friday hits & they ghost you... and i'm like what happened.. and then I tend to find the younger women that are into me only really want one thing and not something serious.

Problem with those dating apps is that in reality they are all hookup sites where people actually only want to fornicate and nothing else.

If you want to really date someone, then you have no real other option than to meet people in real life, on a person-to-person basis and not just through hookup sites.

I hear that a great number of those people on those hookup sites are actually fakes, especially created by the sites themselves to attract people like you, searching for a "good time" on those places and once you have paid your dues, they vanish and you are left wondering where you went wrong.

Yeah I feel like most of them are theoretically, for that, purpose only..

The problem is, when you get older. It's a lot harder meeting new people in a person-to-person setting, whereas when you're younger you have friend groups and go to a ton of social gatherings, that kind of falls off as you get older...

Yeah i've heard that a lot, you can typically tell when it's a fake profile, well at least I can typically tell. I have no problem getting dates, It's just the dates I do get or with people that aren't looking for something with stability..

You still have the option to join a club or take up a hobby and try to make friends that way. Sharing the same interests is a great way to make new acquaintances.

I definitely agree, problem is I travel for work and I'm only home for two weekends a month.. i definitely try to meet new people while traveling for work, but it would be impossible to start a relationship with someone in one of the areas that I work..

Yes it's difficult. Most only want a hook up (which is fine if you're both looking for that) looking for a relationship after divorce/separation often comes with extra understanding/support etc, unfortunately I found many don't want to try again and hooking up is an easier option.

I mean yeah, hooking up is fine and all. It does tend to get played out doing it with different people on a regular basis.

I had no problem. I got married. Then divorced in my 50s.. still no problem dating

I don't have a problem dating or finding dates it's more so finding something stable.

It's very difficult I'm sure younger girls just want money and sex. Older woman in their 30s are past their expiration date to have kids.

Well I wouldn't necessarily say pass their expiration date, but yes having children in my 30's would not be great, I mean I already have two whom are my world, so I'm set on additional ones, lol. But typically yeah that's what the younger ones want..

That's a very hit or miss thing, dating a single mom, tends to involve, dealing with the ex or the father.

I have no problem, finding people for that night, the problem lies and the fact that looking for a stable relationship It's difficult when you're older and have kids and are divorced.

Exactly, you should look for someone around your age who also has children.
