In dating, how important is it to you that your significant other has a strong relationship with their own family?

It is important but not crucial, I am very family oriented and if a Man is also family oriented due to his family dynamics then we will be very compatible for mentality reasons. I want him to respect my family because I will also respect his, and that is actually happening in my case and I'm very blessed and both of our families are amazing and we care about them.
Sadly it wasn't like this in my previous relationship, he had a very crazy family dynamic going on a toxic mother that had nothing but VENOM in her soul... so it took a big toll on the relationship and it even ended because of his mother so... yeah, it is important, but it's mostly up to YOU TWO

I have to say the relationship between a partner and their family says a lot about the connection and way of thinking he has. My ex couldn't see the value and importance of my bond with my sisters bc like the know me too well and I tell them everything and he couldn't understand that and found it difficult knowing I tell them my secrets and ask them for advice if we had an argument. Also his relationship with his mom says a lot about how he will treat u. If a partner never was close, abused or anything then I could understand definitely.

I rather date an orphan. I haven't liked any of my exes families and they haven't liked mine. So i would actually prefer to date someone who barely has family but looks to build a family of our own 🤷‍♀️

My parents could be dead for all I know, and my husband's family members passed away a very long time ago, and they were never close anyway.

Very important because that is how my family is. If someone isn’t used to it, it can come off weird to them. I like that my boyfriend has a good family/home life when we are not at school.
