Do girls take a guy back who made the wrong choice?

Bit of context, but relating to the wider question of whether girls will take stupid guys back. So I think I chose the wrong girl (a) because of complications. However, this girl (a) has liked me for a while and we went on a few dates but I had to end it because of this other girl (b) who I had been going on dates with aswell. I thought i was into her but I wasn't as much as I thought. Do you think girl (a) would still consider me even though I mistakenly chose the other girl (b).

That's a pretty big hand for her to slap herself in the face with if she does. But people your age are all about making dumb mistakes so who knows. You can pretty much guarantee yourself that she will ask why you chose the other girl and resent you for it.

If I was girl A i would not give you a chance, because I would feel like PLAN B, and nobody wants to be the second choice, UNLESS you will be able to prove it to her in different ways, put your time and energy into it, then MAYBE she would actually take you back...
But this could cause a lot of rifts in the relationship because she will feel like second choice...
