I don’t know maybe it’s just where I went to school or my circle of friends? However the advice I would give is to talk to people, meaning in two ways that not everybody does. First if somebody walks up and starts chatting with you, it might feel uncomfortable but I always try to be nice unless they get really aggressive or something. Second if you are curious about a guy and one of your friends knows him, ask her about him, and also leave room for your girlfriends to ask you about a guy (she may be playing matchmaker or he might have asked her about you). This is very sweet, but admittedly it’s a little easier for some people to fall in love than it is for others. I think timing is definitely a factor, but it’s a little easier to accept that if the timing is favorable. Did you guys meet at the library?

Only dated two guys. One in high school and one now in college. Wasn’t hard to meet people at a school (university) with tens of thousands of students.

I agree that it’s easy to meet people at a big school. What I want to know is what set apart the guys you did actually date? Did you interact with them differently or did they act different?

So current boyfriend, met him at a party. I noticed him eyeing me up a couple times, so I went and talked to him. Mostly small talk.

He asked for my number and if I’d like to hang out. So, yeah, I could tell before I went and talked to him he was interested or at least 99% sure.

Thanks. Glad I did. We have been together since last August. Things did really line up right. He lives an hour away from me (hometowns) when not at school, so summer is not long distance.
