Well dating in general was better in my 20’s.
By that I mean no social media or dating apps. No 30 year old photos. No lying about your height or weight. No swiping left 300 times. No ghosting. You actually had to get off your ass and go meet people face to face. We got to see appearance and social interaction live, real-time.
For me personally, dating has been much better in my 50’s. Fun easy. First I’m more experienced and mature. Second, I know what I want. I know how to dress well. I’m cooler, calmer. I can read women better. I’m also financially well off and confident. So whereas I was just a kid trying to figure out in my 20’s and I had to chase women, now the women have been chasing me the last 10 years.
And by the way, I’ve stuck to the old school approach. No dating apps. I only meet people face to face. Random encounters. Nothing planned. Conversation either leads to something or it was a nice way to fill an evening out.
I never had a problem.
I had long term relationships with really nice girlfriends who were very good looking, beginning when I was 16.
The best one of all was a 30 year old who I met when I was 36. She was not only my vision of the feminine ideal physically, but I also loved everything else about her. And, as it turned out, she was hypersexual and orgasmic. She taught me things about sex that I had never imagined. We lived together for almost two years.
I met my future wife when I was 40 and we've been happily married now for over 28 years.
So I guess I did alright when it came to dating, regardless of age. Although I haven't dated since I got married.
Older. I'm honestly just getting started but I'm glad I waited till my 30s to start dating because I was so insecure and naive in my 20s. I now know what I want and have a better understanding of myself which I didn't then to be in a relationship with someone.
Lol. Back in my day it was still real dating. I don't know what all the swiping/app stuff is considered but I would never consider it dating.
I'll add this, though... There are benefits to dating when you're older... you're not a slave to those childish flutters and can be a little more real with a guy. (Having said that, you need to be with a real guy and not some 45+ Peter Pan.)
There were also benefits to dating when I was younger -- the tech thing wasn't there so the person you were with was the person you were with. (Today there's no telling how many apps the person you're "with" is on... if he's searching and scanning for dates while sitting at the table with you, etc.) Also, dating was easier when we had fewer responsibilities and didn't have to worry about kids, aging parents, etc.
Hmm...

When I was younger I was always Introduce to older women and that's all I kind of ever went out with for a long time.
Nowadays.
It seems like younger woman want to hang out more but at the same time I haven't put myself out there so I'm not worried about . but I do believe I'm ready to start dating again
I did not know how to be a loving and caring wife or mother at 20. Now I love caring for others.
It was best in my 30s, better even than my 20s, but my expectations have been adjusted so it’s not bad now either.
By all means, I’m not old. However what I noticed from graduating and before was dating was much easier while in school.
Sure, your choices were limited and your actions had the ability to potentially cut off other choices, but you had the ability to introduce yourself in a natural way.
Something I’ve found particularly difficult when I graduated was trying to find dates. My generation was brought up to see that online dating, particularly dating apps were the way to go. This combined with many cases of guys being labeled as creeps for simply trying to interact with a woman doesn’t help. When it comes to online dating I found that women tended to be a hell of a lot more selective and a single thing that wasn’t liked was a fast track to being unmatched. That’s completely within their right, but dating apps condition us to look for perfection. Which is impossible in humans.
When I was 20 to 25 I didn’t need to “be” much get dates
I was a young college student who happens to be tall and in decent enough shape
Im only 27 now and I feel like the bar has been raised quite a bit in a short time
I work a high end job and rent my own apartment
But I could work for more
Live in a bigger home
In a nicer neighborhood
I don’t own a car (public transport city)
And it plays against me in the dating market it seems
So yeah the older you get the more you need to have “value”
Older... because when I was younger there was a lot more guessing and trial and error. As you get older you - hopefully - learn from mistakes or learn to listen to the right people and so on. When you're older you should have more wisdom and be able to read between the lines... see what is going to be the outcome of someone else's actions/story. It's almost like seeing a tv show replay 100 times. And yet some believe they are so unique and that nobody else in the world is like them. ha!
By and large, Australians don't date. That seems to be an American thing. We find a girl that isn't hideously unattractive, hope that she doesn't find us to be hideously unattractive. Kiss a bit. And see whether the relationship is going to go somewhere, or not.
It's a system that seems to work better than tindr.
Um... women are definitely friendlier now that I'm older. I don't know that the dating environment is necessarily better though. From what I'm hearing, it sounds like the overall environment is a lot worse now than it was before the pandemic.
I haven't personally seen that to be true in my own life.
Marginally better when I was younger, partially because I was younger.
The biggest factor is that an internet-based lifestyle has encouraged everyone to pull away from real life socializing.
Dating apps are bad tooGirls don't get the magic romance and intrigue of Hollywood from dating apps, so few participate. And guys behave like apes on there. In
Dating in my 30s is the best. I'm not actively dating tho as I'm currently in a long-term relationship but it's the greatest relationship ever. If I had met my partner when I was younger I think I wouldn't be mature enough to be with him.
Older.
Younger women have the advantage when we're younger. Woman have youth and beauty and are shiny and new. While men lack resources and status. As we gain in age women become less physically attractive and become more worn and carry more baggage. If men have done it right they've gained in resources and status.
Dating for a young guy is typically a sea of rejection. As guys get older they get to do a lot of the rejecting then.
I have been drinking since 12 I was too busy but one thing I always thought when I saw teenagers dating they have no jobs, no car, most no privacy. Dating as older I think it is better
Younger, sex is ALWAYS BETTER WHEN YOUNGER. Both persons are generally less experienced and new is better
I am in my 40s. Younger is better. The older single women get, the more bad experiences they have had, the more bitter they become. A 25 year old woman has been burned 1-2 times and she can bounce back. It is harder for a 45 year old woman who has been burned 5-6 times. They are more bitter, or just give up entirely.
When i was younger, cause not every girl my age was a fat single mom. Nothing against being obese or a single parent. But that's not my preference.
It would be better now because now I will settle with a lady and marry her. As I'm currently single but seriously want to start my family and find my life partner.
Younger. Being forced to be around more people made it easier to find someone who is interested, compared to the massive roll of the d1000 dice and hope you don't get a false-positive, ghost, or scammer.
So much better older because it was actually real , when young it was bordering on stupid.
No, because I wasn't in the right mindset to be dating. Too much on my mind. Later dating was better.
Younger... people weren't such idiots before..
Older, I'm ways more popular now than 10 years ago xD
It just isn't as serious when you are younger and is more fun.
Dating seems pretty much the same to me. I still meet women the same wqy. By chance while out and about
I would say it is better now. i do not have to do it anymore.
dating is better when you're older (a certain window). young guys are immature as hell and it usually never goes anywhere.
Younger because women expect less of you (house, car, job) and don't need to know if you want kids someday
Younger. Exploration is an adventurous game!!
There is zero point in dating past 19. Everyone you date is just experienced in relationship failure and ridden more than Seatle slew
It was better when I was younger. Because I was kinkier. Now I'm set in my ways.
I waited until I was 19. Immature relationships are pointless
No difference! Never found anyone worth having. It continues
I'm gonna say neither, it only got worse and worse to date in my generation.
For dating purpose older is better because she is more active in terms of intimacy. she will be more confident an can understand my emotions.
Definitely older I was broke when I was younger. Dating is way more fun when you have money
I don't know, because I never actually had a date.
I am 19 , I am finding my date online. Can anybody help me I am very shy guy
Younger for me because there was soooo much energy and sparks
Younger, because I had a girlfriend. Now, I am single.
Older because sharing truthful feelings is easier
Older, when i was younger i was a potato 🥔
I'd say consistent 😁
Younger, the internet didn't exist when I was 8.
For me, younger.
just gets worse as we age
Older cause you understand yourself better.
It is better now, older.
At my age everyone is married
Older more open minded.
