How do I recover with this girl?

I met a girl at the bar I was very interested in and I called her on the phone a couple of days after and I enjoyed talking to her then next time I called her it was good then she brought up ex drama. I texted her after saying she seems to into her ex and if things change to let me know.

I really do want to explore this and am very interested in getting to know her but I don’t want to be the other guy where she talks to me about her ex all the time. Cutting it off would be hurtful and I don’t know how to proceed with this situation

My question to you is:

What are your intentions, your ultimate goal when you approach those women in bars?

Is it the call of your testosterone? Is it because you see an opportunity to get into their pants?

Women realize that the only reason why a man would approach them in a bar or anywhere else for that matter is to try to get into their pants. Of course you are interested in knowing her and she does realize that fact as well. That is probably why she tries to keep a safe distance because in your age group, the only thing that really matters is not so much to build up a 30+ years relationship but rather to put a woman on the list of body counts.

I would tread lightly if you really want to continue something with her. Ex drama is never good and could mean she's still very much involved with the ex and hasn't really gotten over him and could potentially get back together with him which would be way more hurtful for you vs cutting it off now while you're not as attached.
