For a guy, sex can be 'meaningful' (emotional/romantic connection). Or it can just be sex. With no romantic emotional feeling, just sex.

As a guy, it makes perfect sense to me why he would sleep with you even if he didn't feel a romantic connection. It makes sense that he'll continue to do so, as long as you're wanting to.

By telling you that there is no romantic connection (hopefully before sleeping with you), he is assuming that you're sleeping with him knowing that. There is no problem, as long as he was up-front about his intentions (i. e. not romantic despite whatever chemistry there was). So in his mind, you would only be sleeping with him, if you were ok with the no romantic connection part. (i. e. you are fine with it being just sex).

If he didn't tell you until after sleeping with you, then the guy is an asshole. Plain and simple.

Spot on. Nothing grinds my gears more than fraternization from the workplace. It don't matter the gender, it's a huge heaping pile of risks and shit to deal with just for a night of genital tickling.
