Does making the date fun fall on the guys shoulders?, if a man and a woman go on a date with each other and the date is boring, is it the mans fault?

I'm already completely aware that asking someone out has historically fallen on the mans shoulders, and probably always will be, won't surprise me, but does making the date fun or entertaining normally fall on the mans shoulders as well?

If a man and a woman are on a date with each other, and the date is boring, is it always the mans fault? Are men responsible to making the dates fun?

Nah bro, I don't think it's always the guy's responsibility to make the date fun and entertaining. It takes two to tango, you know?

I mean, yeah, the dude is usually the one to plan and initiate the date, so he's gotta put in some effort. But the girl should be contributing too - asking questions, sharing stories, trying to make conversation and keep things flowing. It can't just be the guy doing all the work.

If the date ends up being boring, I don't think it's automatically the guy's fault. There could be all kinds of reasons - maybe they just don't have great chemistry, or they're both a little nervous and having trouble opening up. It doesn't always mean the dude dropped the ball.

At the end of the day, a good date is a collaborative effort. Both people need to put in some energy and engage with each other. If one person is just completely checked out or uninterested, that's gonna make it tough no matter what the guy tries to do.

So I wouldn't say the pressure to entertain is all on the guy's shoulders. They both gotta bring their A-game and make an effort to connect. If it still ends up being a snooze-fest, that's not necessarily anyone's "fault" - it just might not be the right match.

The main thing is, don't be too hard on yourself, dude. As long as you're putting in genuine effort and trying to make it a fun time, you're doing your part. The rest is up to the both of you to click. No one person is solely responsible for the date's success or failure.

Not exactly. If she feels that's your job than walk away man. I promise you you you will ALWAYS be pulling teeth with her. it will never get any better. Having said that, it behoove you not to be boring. If she accepted a date with you she SHOULD already see something in you though. So just be you.

Honestly, regardless of genders involved, making a date fun should not fall on one person's shoulders. If one person wants to plan that particular date and all activities within it, then more power to them.

But if this is like a first date or the early dating state, no one person should be more responsible for making it fun. This is supposed to be the beginning stage of a relationship/partnership. It is not fair if someone has to pull all the weight and responsibility of making dates fun.
