I met this guy on tinder and we had great texts there. Switched to instagram and then whatsapp. Everything went great and then we had our first date. The date was really good and we laughed and talked a lot. After that he asked for another date on the upcoming weekend and brought in a lot of ideas. Cinema or play billiards. We need to watch breaking bad together, he want's to cook for me and so on.

The week was normal and we texted a lot throughout the day. On Thursday before the date he wrote that he is not feeling well but he doesn't want to cancel the date right away. On Friday he wrote he is sick and we need to cancel the date. We wrote just a few texts on that day and I didn't want to bother him when he is sick so I did not write more.

Saturday he texted me and we sent a lot of voicemails. Sunday I texted him but we did not write much. Monday he went to work again and texted me but it still was dryer than the week before. In the evening he wrote that he will go to the doctor again on Tuesday because he is still not feeling well. On Tuesday he just sent a meme in the morning. Wednesday I texted him but we did not text much on that day. Thursday nothing. On Friday he texted me in the evening and sent voicemails even his sister talked to me because she wanted to say "Hi". Saturday nothing. Sunday nothing he just posted a story on instagram with a landscape picture and a song.

He has nightshift now and on Monday evening he sent a voicemail with "heeeeeeellooooooo (name) it is getting better I feel much better now and I am in the first good mood since a week!" We just wrote like 4 texts after that and I told him that I am not feeling good right now. Tuesday he sent a meme and I texted him in the evening. It was dry again but after I used Emojis he used them too. Yesterday nothing he just wrote a Text to my Insta Story. I think he should ask for a date again because he canceled the last.

Couldn't write more because of the limit. Before our first date he asked if I am dating other matches. During our first date he asked how he was doing because he has not had a date for 2 years. So maybe he is kind of insecure and because I did not text him he thinks I am not interested anymore. But he is always trying to stay in contact somehow likes my stories or replys to them and stuff like this.

We still need to see each other again because I forgot my jacket in his car at the last date..

No! He is trying to "see you pushing" for things to move forward, when actually he is the one that "should do the pushing", could be that he has a "side chick" or more than one but he is keepiing you as a "reserve" in case it doesn't work out (because he asked if you date other people), so normally if a guy asks for more dates (and he is keeping them) then he wants to move forward and be with you, if not then sounds like a "chancer" that he just "goes" with the flow...🤷‍♂️

Keep an eye out for how many times he gets sick or cancels dates etc. but if it’s a one off can’t really assume malice.

You have to do what you feel is right. in my opinion texting creates subtext in our mind. We fill in the blanks add to the story and guess things that aren't always true. So penalize him for a perceived slight is self gratifying but unlikely to end well in a good positive relationship. Talk to him actually call and tell him what you feel. Or walk away games leads down the path of drama and madness.

- he had to cancel the date but then
- said he is better (but doesn’t mean he truly is 100%)
- and has not asked you out again.

Resolution:
- wait abit until he is 100% and he asks you out.
- wait abit then nudge him about a follow up date since it was cancelled.
