Girls, Would you date a guy who lives with his mom because his dad died and he's the only one who can take care of her?

I may be in this situation in a couple of years. My mom refuses to want to go to a home. My dad has colon cancer and he's probably going to die soon. I'm not a mamas boy but I do love my mom. I don't want her in a home either. Am I wrong for wanting to take care of her? She's very independent she just doesn't drive because of her pacemaker. I just feel like I'd be a loser to women.

It depends on a few things.. would she be home all the time, inside the house, always interrupting us? Is she judgmental, criticising other women? Thats a dealbreaker. There is nothing wrong with loving your mom and wanting to take care of her, but when she’s stepping on the toes of a potential girlfriend, then most women would call it quits.


My ex lived with his mom for similar reasons, but she was a really lovely lady who kept to herself. She didn’t stay inside the house, she had her own cabin in the backyard. She only came inside to see her son, use the bathroom or cook. Otherwise she left us alone.

I am straight but if you were a man, I would be willing, interested, and maybe prefer to live with the mom if she had a good personality and did not require constant care that would force me to abandon other things, because I want a big team of people who mutually love and care for each other as my family base.

My husband is like that, but we don’t live with his mom. Just he is the one who taking care of his mom. His mom has stomach cancer and all treatments, hospital bills are on him. Even he is the one who always waiting in the hospital when his mom is hospitalized, didn’t get sleep enough for weeks. Just home for taking shower and change the clothes. He has siblings, but I don’t know why everything on him.
I don’t mind with it, at least he is a good person. His mom also nice person, just i feel sorry for him having to go through all this.
