What Girls Said
Yes, a person, regardless of the gender, with self harm scars would be people that I would be very cautious with. Not just about dating, which I don't do, but in general.
People that go great lengths to scar themselves are usually the ones that have deeper psychological scars as well but that don't take any action to try to find the cause or to remedy those causes for their psychological issues.
Those scars stay a lifelong and tell that at one time or another in their lives, they had issues that led them to inflict themselves with those scars. Even years after, it does not mean that the problems were solved and that is a potential risk in any relationship.
Fair i guess😅 should i hide mine? Or would thay be worse?
I cannot decide for you. If you are okay with being judged, then don't hide them, otherwise do hide them but realize that you will be judge the second you show them.
Yeah anyone with self harm scars seems weird to me since I could never understand that mentality to cut to feel better. It seems so foreign, especially when the person who did the damage is then super insecure about them. I would defo be friends but I probably wouldn't date them. Since I had a friend who self harmed but she always tried to hide them and never wanted to talk about it. But its like then why cut yourself somewhere so visible? Strange behaviour. Like if you are gonna cut yourself do it right and self delete or at least own it and stop caring about what others think.
For me its because im embarrassed about my weakness.
Don't be. We all have a past and we all have gone through hard times, its not that big a deal. If you are in therapy or over the rough times and can talk about the scars then I am sure people won't care about it.
No everyone has a past as long as they no longer do it I'm good
