I'm a male and I have met a girl. We got along quite well and we exchanged our Instagram accounts.
At the moment I'm trying to discover if she is into me, as I don't get clear signs to confirm she is. She is sending out mixed signals.
So we have been texting back and forth for a few weeks through Instagram direct messaging. She never initiates contact but she does like my instagram stories from time to time. I'm usually the one who is initiating the texting contact.
When we do have conversations through text she is very detailed with her awnsers and she responds very quickly. She uses a lot of emoji's and smileys in her text. She also tries to keep the conversation going by asking a lot of questions.
Last night for the first time she was the one who initiated contact. She had sent the message when she woke up in the morning. I didn't respond immediately as we're in vast different timezones and I was occupied (preparing to go to sleep as it was night time in my timezone). Although I did read the message that she had sent. The message contained a question to start a new topic/conversation and a big smiley. So nothing sensitive. I decided to go sleep and respond the next morning. The next morning the message dissapeard as she had unsent it.
Why did she remove the message? The message did not contain any sensitive information. One thing I do know for sure is that she assumed I haven't had read the message yet as I didn't open the message in the app (I only sideviewed it in my notifications bar of my phone). So no confirmation from instagram was indicating that I have read the message. So she retracted the message assuming I haven't read it yet.
questions:
1Why did she remove the message?
2Maybe this girl traditional? Do they want to avoid giving the signal that they are initiating contact or that they are into you? Background information is that this is an Asian girl from Hong Kong. Maybe it's a cultural thing?
3How big is probability that she actually likes me?
