Why do we have to court in the dating world?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe in arraignment marriage. But it just seems to be a pain of have confidence, whatever that means. Ask her out, win her over on the date, then 2nd date, 3rd date, list goes on. Why can’t there be some natural power that swoops in and matches likewise people? It’s just frustrating who I am interested, they don’t feel it. We gotta design some type of magic potion that can match us with who we want. I think that’s fair.

You've struck upon the main reason why so many men don't date anymore, and why so many women are bitter about it.

It's because there was a time where meeting a woman and asking her out was, we'll I don't want to says just a formality", but kind of. Women used to tip guy off in some way, the guy would approach, chat her up and at some point ask her out. But since equality women feel they hold all the cards now. They're not relegated to wait for a man to choose her. So a woman may entertain 100 to a 1000 guys before making a decision, if ever making a decision at all. Yet these women expect a man to go all out with her. A guy may want a relationship, but a relationship is not being her toy. And so there reaches a point where men just say, "no thank you" to these games.

There is a simple solution to all of this. In the name of equality, and since women SUPPOSEDLY know what they want. They could decide to be equal to men in dating and ask men out. But this is one area where women really do not want equality.😆

My guess is that you use apps? So the women you are dating know absolutely nothing about you other than that you have fine motors skills sufficient to use an app? And you think 3 dates is unreasonable to start to learn about you?

You have to court because your brethren love to lie and use woman for sex. So to make us want to waste our time on you, you will have to prove your worth so we don't end up hurt and used. Men who aren't good at charming and making a woman feel safe will have a hard time proving they are worth the effort.

Exactly. It's not uncommon to hook up on a first date, but that's usually someone you have all the history with: they know who you are, they know what you do and they know how you treat people. I wouldn't have sex with an app person on a first date. I don't know why men would expect women to do so either.

@bddddd Yeah the point of courting is to get to know each other and see if you generally like each other, if you don't its best to find other people. If they don't want to court then become friends first and get to know them, once you know if you like the girl ask her out.
